Cindy Halliwell

Cindy Halliwell is a Senior Associate at Ballarat Lawyers, practising in Family Law. Cindy was admitted to practice in May 2020, having gained valuable experience as a family law paralegal for several years while transitioning her career to law with Deakin University.

Before joining the law fraternity, Cindy enjoyed a diverse career in business, spanning the airline and finance industries and the university sector.

Cindy is dedicated to providing timely and quality advice to clients concerning parenting and property matters. Cindy is also experienced in family violence matters and understands that each matter has complexities and sensitivities, requiring tailored solutions for clients.

Cindy’s key areas of practice include:

  • parenting arrangements;
  • property settlement matters;
  • family violence;
  • divorce and separation;
  • domestic and de facto relationships;
  • binding financial agreements; and
  • binding child support agreements.

Cindy’s professional memberships include:

  • Law Institute of Victoria;
  • the Family Law Section; and
  • Ballarat & District Law Association.

Cindy is also a member of the Ballarat & Grampians Legal Services Centre and is registered to provide legal advice on a voluntary basis.

Cindy also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration. She has been published with leading author Marilyn Bromberg in the University of Notre Dame Law Journal (Western Australia) on the topic of Body Image Law.
