Growing up in the Victorian High Country, Stephanie relocated to Ballarat to join the Family Law team as a trainee lawyer after completing her LLB/BGlobSt at Australian Catholic University Melbourne. Stephanie is currently completing her GDLP at Leo Cussen Centre for Law.
Stephanie’s passion for using her knowledge to assist community members has been fostered through experience with the Australian Catholic Anti-Slavery Network and volunteer positions with Barwon Community Legal Services. She is trained in modern-slavery awareness and risk management. Stephanie has worked with the Anti-Slavery Taskforce to assess the supply chains of Australia’s largest professional service providers to assist the establishment of remedy pathways supporting victims and businesses affected by modern slavery. She has also worked extensively with persons affected by family violence and looks to bring her experience to regional Victoria.
With her enthusiasm for alternative dispute resolution, Stephanie was invited to compete at the Australian Law Students’ Association National Negotiations Competition in Brisbane in 2022, following her success at the Tim McFarlane Negotiations Competition. Stephanie continues her commitment to dispute resolution in the Family Law field and works closely with lawyers and clients to ensure all options for resolution are explored and her client’s interests are advocated.
Stephanie continues to be an active member of her community through engagement with her local MP. Stephanie enjoys travelling, hiking and camping and hopes to use her recent relocation as an opportunity to explore the Victorian Central Highlands.
